Lorna on Etsy and Facebook

I just opened a store on Etsy!  I am now selling archival, limited edition, autographed prints of a select few of my paintings.  Right now there are three available: The Pink TrailerStumptyper: 5wpm and Support.  I’ve already sold two of The Pink Trailer, one on Etsy and one by email request.  I will be adding more so stay tuned.  Also, if you would like a print of one of my paintings that hasn’t been offered please feel free to contact me and request it.

In addition, you can now become a fan of the Lorna Nakell art page on Facebook.

Grants Pass Museum of Art - Oct-Nov 2009

The beautiful Rogue River in my hometown of Grants Pass.

These are photos from my exhibition at the Grants Pass Museum of Art for which  I created a “loose-leaf” book.  Each painted page incorporated lines of text from a poem I wrote titled “Camping alongside a River.”

This is the show in it’s entirety - all eleven paintings floated on the wall with magnets.

I traveled to Grants Pass for the reception and to give an artist talk.  In this photo: Me with staff from the museum, Libby Hocker and Susan Burnes.

I was sorry to have missed my high school art teacher who came to see the show before I made it to the museum.  But, she was the first to leave a very nice comment.

The exhibition will be on view at the Grants Pass Museum of Art through November 2009.  Afterward this book might be traveling to Beppu Wiarda Gallery in Portland or Fetherston Gallery in Seattle.  I am in the process of planning it’s future.
