Portland Open Studios - 2007

Thanks to everyone who made it to my studio for Portland Open Studios last month. Here are some photos from the event:

Me talking to visitors about the painting I was working on for the Portland Art Center fund raising group show this Dec.

I met lots of interesting people and had several good art-related conversations with people for two whole days.

Kelly Neidig found some pieces from one of my older collections. She was one of the participating artist. We are making an art trade. Soon I will be adding one of her moody, abstracted landscape paintings to my freshly painted dining room.

Behind me are the two paintings I was working on during the two days.  I’m sorry you can’t see more of them.  I was only able to finish the drawing portion of these.

This is the next stage of the smaller painting that was behind me.  It is still in progress but will be for sale at the Portland Art Center for $300 when complete, along with 300 panels by other artists.

This is the 6′X6′ painting I was working on.  It has many more layers to go.  I’m not sure where you will be able to view it when it is finished.  I will keep you posted.

Works in Progress - November

These are the beginning stages of a grid painting I am working on. Each canvas panel is 12″X12″. I have ordered several more panels from Utrecht. Unfortunately, they are on back order - so I wait, and work on other paintings in the meantime. There is always something else to work on…
